Stained Glass Care Guide
Stained Glass Care Guide
Each piece is handmade with care - here are a few handy tips to keep your stained glass looking its best!
-
Oxidation on the solder lines will occur naturally, but you can use carnauba wax to restore the shine and reduce/slow the oxidation.
-
Suction cups/sticky hooks for hanging pieces are NOT recommended as they can fail over time - if you decide to use them, please check on them often to make sure it's secure!
-
Wipe dry with a microfibre or cotton cloth; please do not use any abrasive materials or chemicals to clean it, as it may damage the glass (especially pieces with patina).
-
I use a 60/40 tin/lead solder, which is safe to handle. Lead is only harmful if ingested, so please wash your hands thoroughly with soapy water after handling your piece!
